I read scientific journals, and they are quoted extensively in CRSQ. The problem is not in reading dissenting opinions, but in reading them uncritically. One must especially differentiate between facts derived from actual scientific methodology and interpretation of the facts within the ruling paradigm. For instance, it is one thing to take note of the scientific measurements of various isotopes, something else to uncritically accept interpretation of those measurements as ages.

Allen, why is it not possible that I was faced with the false interpretations of the religious philosophy of YECism? Have you ever considered that YEC acts like a cult, not wanting their members to read dissenting opinions--like scientific journals?
