The person you are thinking of is David Fisher who is (or was) the
Director of RADAS (Radio Academy of Science) and is the Editor-i-Chief
of script preparation. His program does not deal specifically with the
creation/evolution controversy, rather his interest is in showing the
intellentsia of the former Soviet Union that it is possible to be a
scientist and believe in God also.

I had the great fortune of being interviewed by David a few years ago and
at the time he gave me a book that makes for interesting reading called
"Scientists Who Believe", Moody Press.
