    A World of Difference

    Last week in a post I was critical of a writer for World Magazine who praised Charles Finney. This week I’m going to give a bit of praise for a different post from a World writer. Lynn Vincent links this article (the World post is found here), which shows how scientists on the other side of the pond — who also happen to be Christians — are able to practice both their faith and their vocation without being ostracized. According to the article, this is a bit different from the combination of the two in the U.S.:

    Modern scientists do not routinely identify their spiritual affiliation; it’s extremely difficult to say for certain how many are religious. Even so, among contemporary American scientists, many — perhaps a majority — have declared themselves skeptics, secularists, agnostics and atheists.
