Physical Chemistry
TheDepartment of Chemistry and Biochemistryin the School of Health and Natural Sciences at MessiahCollege invites applications for a term-tenure position in Physical Chemistry.
Responsibilities: Primary teaching responsibilities will be in the area of physical and general chemistry. Willingness to teach environmental chemistry would be beneficial as well. Additionally, this individual must be able to mentor undergraduate research projects, develop personal scholarship to meet term-tenure and promotion requirements, and contribute to institutional service (e. g. academic advising, committee work, student recruitment, etc.)
Qualifications: Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry or a related discipline. Demonstrated commitment to excellence in college teaching, mentoring of student research, and scholarship is required. The successful candidate must be committed to best educational practices as applied to undergraduate science education and the integration of Christian faith and learning.

Position Open: Fall 2009
Compensation: Salary and rank commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Applicants should submit, in duplicate, a letter of interest, a current curriculum vitae, transcripts, and an essay describing their teaching and research interests including how they would adapt these interests to provide collaborative research projects for undergraduate students.
