Same as the Creationist High Priesthood: grants, books, contributions,
prestiege, jobs . . . nothing which effects the guys who drink beer in
the neighborhood taverns. The typcal high school is about as interested
in his evolution or creation lesson as he is in his geography and history
    lessons - not at all.

The bottom line isn't science but economic, political, and moral control
of the blue collar working people who neither understand nor care about
    the scientific and philosophical issues.
