You say no one knows for certain what accounts for complexity and the
question is open. In that case what is all the controversy about?
Atheists, and apparently some Christians, should be free to believe it
happened without purpose, plan or design. Theists, and some agnostics,
should be free to believe purpose, plan and design were involved. Neither
assumption should be imposed upon anyone else as "scientific truth". The
Kansas school board ignored the question. Would they have created less
controversy if they had said, " there are conflicting theories, but no one
knows for sure"? What is this "modern theory" I should catch up on? You
have a theory. Is it the "modern theory" I should catch up on?
