Private messages and posting

I can understand how messages that are sent privately may occasionally
be mistaken for a publicly posted message and thus receive a public
response.

I can even understand that there exist circumstances under which the
posting of even messages that are clearly marked as private might be
justified or at least argued as a reasonable response to some
situation.

I don't see what situation, though, might justify Bertvan's current
dumping of messages labeled as private to this group. Perhaps
Berthajane could enlighten us with the rationale, if one exists.
