Intelligent Design (aka supernatural intervention) has no empirical basis.
The strongest evidence for it is a few creationists saying "well, by golly,
it looks designed to *me*!" Without any supporting evidence it will
eventually evaporate. It is a religious idea based in the wishful thinking
of a few conservative Christians.
