The point could also be made that if YEC's cannot interpret a
recent document (GM's) correctly why should we have confidence in
their interpretation of an ancient document (the Bible). The former
was written in their mother tongue, it's genre obviously scientific
and it is substantially shorter than the latter. It's a wonder that
YEC exegesis enjoys as much support as it does.
