Hi Pim,
That would be an example of macro evolution, for sure. Are you suggesting
a change from a single cell organism to a multi cell organism has been
observed to occur by "random mutation and natural selection"?

Well, have you heard of the Volvox? Under predation this single cellular organism became multicellular.
It seems that these larger cells could not be eaten. Definitely natural selection. The question is: Was a random mutation responsible for the ability of the volvox to form this multicellular form.

Bertvan: Perhaps you are thinking of symbiosis, such as is theorized to have occurred
in the formation of the eukaryote cell. I wouldn't think "random mutation and
natural selection" has anything to do with symbiosis.

Obviously not, they merely show symbiosis and natural selection. But that is not what I was refering to.
Although it's quite interesting to see how the evidence points to the origins of some parts of the cellular structure.

...

Do you believe free will exists?

Of course. But what does that have to do with the issue here?
