Janet, Glenn, all others struggling to resist the strong urge to mark all
recent posts as trash before reading them,

What we don't need is another post on this thread but I got to get my
2cents in anyway. Not having read the book, not being able to afford it,
and certainly not having the time to read it if I had it, I, like many out
there, have to simply rely on the wisdom of others. For us the burden of
proof certainly lies in the camp of Petersen and his supporters because we
can't all invest the time to look into all claims. I have been given few
if any reasons by those espousing this new understanding of antiquity to
suggest I should ever read this book aside from glowing statements that he
has proven himself ( which isn't quite a reason in my book). If you must
continue to clog up my in box could we at least have some actual evidences
that Petersen gives so that we might examine them ourselves rather than
trusting the "wisdom" of people that we do not know? Most of here do know
Glenn, Steve, etc.. and are able to assess their judgements based on past
discussions. I would reissue the past challenge that Petersen's supporters
give some background as to how they came into contact with his book or
whether they were converted prior to or after reading the book?

Time for a new thread!!
