Joseph: <<... but when snails are added to the picture one must recognize the frank materialization OF POWDER out of the fourth dimension in order to account for the details that are actually observed. In fact, the said powder actually materialized within the bodies of the snails, converting them into masses of mud not obviously different from the rest of the nodule. If you can account for these objects without recourse to an added dimension of space, pray do so.>>

Ah, it's the powder, not the snails. And may I inquire what this powder consists of ?

I wrote <<I am bit surprised and dismayed that you would offer such a
simplistic mechanism to account for the loessian nodules. Certainly this
reasoning would carry no weight whatever before an audience that had
Plates 32 to 40 of Petersen's book before them. >>

You wrote <<This is not an argument Joseph.>>

Joseph: <<Quite right. It is evidence.>>

Nope, it's grandstanding.

You wrote <<So what evidence of this 4th dimension exists ? Any
predictions ? Any observations ? Anything ?>>

Joseph: <<See above.>>

No evidence was presented. What predictions exist ? What observations exist ? What are the characteristics of a 4th dimension ? Why does the distribution of the snails vary with the naturally found distribution ? Why only in Loess ?

You wrote <<Other than the 'snails' of course. Although I believe for
snails to be explained satisfactorily, one has to propose at least three
additional dimension.>>

<<Proceed a bit further and you may arrive. If you have the book, look at
Plates 32-40.>>

Wow, I was wrong, they are actually two dimensional.
