Thanks for the 1 Kings 7:23 reference. Let's just go on, for now, by
saying that the authors weren't trying to do anything geometrical,
as the witty contribution of the calculation of Riemannian higher-
dimensional curvature required by the Bible made clear!!!
I withdraw my snide comment about infallibilistes and pi.

On to more fruitful orchards! I just read, courtesy of another list,
a dictum, or sort of operating/contemplative principle, from the
German mathematician Kronecker, that puts me in mind
of the mediate creationism discussion that was going on earlier.

"Die naturlichen Zahlen hat der liebe Gott gemacht, alles andere
ist Menschenwerk."
---Leopold Kronecker, 1886

"The natural numbers were made by God, all other is manmade."

Does this contribute to any debate in this universe, or else, on this
list?
