Petit's article is certainly interesting, and many people will no
doubt be drawn to agree with Lee Altenberg when he states, "As evolution
becomes more a standard part of engineering techniques, and more and
more people gain firsthand experience with an evolutionary process,
people will feel more comfortable with the idea of evolution as the core
of their own history." The claim, therefore, is that the principle of
evolution applied in these exciting utilitarian endeavours is, in
itself, firm evidence for the reality of biological evolution.

But this extrapolation is being made in ignorance of certain facts
which - presumably because they impinge powerfully on the side of
creationism in the current debate concerning origins - are not being
allowed to see the light of day!

Undergirding the Hebrew words of the Bible's first verse - and beyond
- is an intricate structure of coordinated numerical geometries. These
features - latent until circa 200 BC (some hundreds of years after the
words were first written) when the Jews adopted the Greek practice of
using their alphabetic characters as numerals - are now clearly visible.
They may be seen and assessed at

Patently, such phenomena do not evolve. Christians and Jews possessing
a high view of God will have little difficulty in explaining their
presence in this highly-strategic and foundational verse. Others will
have a more difficult task - nevertheless, a very necessary task if the
intellectual integrity of Darwinism is to be upheld!
