Speculation! Speculation! Scientists should not be involved with the
metaphysics of Evolution. Their job is to present facts, repeatable
experiments in the lab. The facts, so far, seem to be the opposite of what
an evolutionist would like. He should swallow his bias and admit that,
rather than go into wild flights of fancy on how evolution 'could' occur,
given our present state of knowledge.>>

Metaphysics of evolution are indeed beyond the realm of science. But this does not mean that one cannot speculate or discuss issues of science. The timeframe comment falls well within the realm or science.
The facts are that evolution has been observed in many of its forms and that no bias is needed. Evolution has occured, the question remaining is what mechanisms were relevant.
