Body shape differences

Glenn wrote me privately, in response to a question I asked:

>>Second question. You asked what a Homo erectus would look like if he
appeared today. He would look odd because he would have little forehead.
Otherwise, he wouldn't be too different.>>

That whole issue (subject?) intrigues me. How
much is "too different?"

Given that my 5' - 7" self does not look
much like Micharl Jordan, or even my
son, a 5' 6" native-born Korean,
or even my closest relative, my
6' -4" brother, how would
you (we, -- anyone) describe human differences
if I, Jordan, my son, my brother, plus an average Neandertal
and a Homo Erectus walked together down
main street some Saturday morning.Assume "normal"
clothing, all of the
same type -- say -- T shirts, walking
shorts and tennis shoes. Maybe add in
Randy Johnson of the baseball Mariners,
a Japanese sumo wrestler,
an Austrailian Aborigine, and a few others.

Seems to me your thesis (behaviour is
more important than body shape) might benefit
by such a picture, as far as it might be created.
