RK: So, in feeling that they were standing for the truth, they decided
to deceive people, so the people wouldn't stop believing what was false.
Oh, yeh, that makes a lot of sense! NOT.

The alternative would be that people might lose faith totally ? A white
lie in order to insure continuance of something the apostles believed in.
What was the alternative ? Admitting that Jesus was a lie ? What could
that have done to the religious beliefs of those told of the 'savior' ?
Sometimes there is no way back, only a way forward and one has to try to
make the best of what is left.
