I just knew that you would take this out of context. Please take
careful note of the "if" in the statement above. I was trying to
make a point here. Let's recap. You said:

This is what I was responding to when I wrote the sentence in question.
So let me ask you, Jim. Do you truly believe that "If God does not
exist, then anything is permissible"? That is, do you think that, if
there were no God to punish you, then you would have no reason not to
commit murder? I suspect that the answer is "no". That is, I suspect that
you are *not* a sick person. My statement that "If you believe that, then
you are a truly sick person" was merely meant to point out the absurdity of
Dostoevsky's dictum.

I hope you understand now, Jim. Now please start reading my posts more
carefully,
and stop quoting me out of context.
