Fw: Irreducible Economic Complexity: Communism???

Just to add another ingredient to the pot:

Where would the Soviet Union's planned ecomony fit into this whole mess???
There is something that is (fairly) undeniably "designed" - but, paradoxically,
seems less well "designed" than a western economy. Would this serve as an
example of design, with which to contrast less designed systems like western
economies? Does this increasing abstract example tell us anything about
evolution or irreducible complexity? (for example, would we expect a designed
world to resemble the Soviet economy and an undesigned world to resemble
western economies?...the obvious retort is that we would expect a world
designed by communists to look like the Soviet economy, but we haven't the
faintest idea what a God-designed world _should_ look like).

Hope this adds to the mess,
Nick
