The Oldest mine

After I sent that post last night, I sat down to read a few other papers that
Had come in on that topic. Bednarik,( "Art Origins", _Anthropos 89,1994:
169-180, cites K. Klein, 1978 "Preliminary analysis of the Mammalian Fauna
from the Redcliff Stone Age Cave Site" _Occasional Papers National Museum of
Southern rhodesia, A4(2):74-80 ) says that the oldest known mine is Redcliff
Cave which dates to 125,000 years ago. This is prior to the advent of
anatomically modern man on the earth.
