Apology and challenge to Jim Bell

Jim,

I apologize for my frustration boiling over. Please forgive me.

You have not however, backed up your claim that the care given to 1808
was more apelike than manlike. You say chimp behavior is not a point of
contention. But chimps are apes and their behavior is 180 degress out of
phase with the treatment chimps (apes) give to sick comrades.
Since chimps are apes and ape behavior is in question, Chimp behavior
is at issue.

You said 1808's treatment "LOOKS more apelike than manlike". Back up this
claim. In what characteristics does the long survival of 1808
match what we see tn apes? Was 1808 shunned?
Was 1808 beaten?
Was 1808 attacked?

This is what apes do.

1808 on the other hand appears to have been fed, and/or watered.Even you
admit that she was defended. Those apes did not defend McGregor, yet you
say 1808's treatment looks apelike. How? Statements are easy to make
especially statments that have no basis in reality.

Without food, neither man nor ape can live much more than 30 days.
Bones could not ossify to the extent seen in 1808 in 4 week, especially
if the creature were starving. so even assuming 1808 was near water
who brought her the food? 1808 had to have been feed and the apes
I talked abot didn't bother feeding McGregor. Thus here is another
difference between apes and erectus care.

While I apologize for the expression of my frustration, I am not going to
allow you to divert attention from the issue which is your contention
that 1808's care was apelike. How was it apelike?
