I understand how Art could reach this conclusion from my statement that an
atheist could reject evolution. This does not mean that he would be a
creationist. Perhaps, rather than atheist, I should have said
"nonChristian" because I was thinking of those who believe in reincarnation
as well as the Shirley MacLean type of new-age religion. I recently read
that in a poll, only 40% of the respondents believed in scientific
evolution. I don't think that the remaining 60% were conservative Christians.

I hope that this clears up the misunderstanding from my earlier comment.

For the record, I did not take Art's question as being rhetorical or flip.
