The word "caskets" is really not the best choice. Refering to them as an
ossuary or
"bone box" would be more accurate. The body was usually laid on a shelf to
decompose and then the bones were gathered in a clay or stone box. Many such
boxes have been found, many of them have biblical names on them. One such find
had which had the word "Caiaphas" written on it received a lot attention
recently in
BAR ( Biblical Archeology Review).

I agree with a recent post which claimed that the names mentioned were
actually in
common use at the time. It is therefore difficult to know just who those
persons really
are.
