Saw Dawkins on TV last night. Watched with foreboding that he would
deliver some blockbuster about evolution.

He was pathetic! Even the interviewer, who was not specifically
science
trained AFAIK, appeared unconvinced.

Had some clips by some of Dawkins' evolutionist colleagues who
disagreed. One implied that Dawkins was a right-wing extremist.

Dawkins claims their is no design and the universe is purposeless.
When questioned why Paul Davies a physicist finds the evidence
for design overwhelming, Dawkins claimed: 1. I am a biologist, so
I can't judge physics; and 2. Physics has not yet had its Darwin to
come along and show it the right way.

As for (1) above, he seemed to forget he has made all these claims
about the *universe*! As for (2) this sounds like waiting for the
Messiah?

Dawkins claimed that life was a river of DNA (the theme of his
book "River out of Eden"). But when the interviewer asked what
was the source of the river, he appeared flustered and admitted
he didn't know.

An interesting thing is that Dawkins admitted that evolution could
not predict anything. Dawkins refused to predict what the human
race was going to evolve into in the next million years.

Dawkins seemed very sincere, but as Billy Graham used to say,
people can be "sincerely *wrong*".

Regards.

Stephen
