The 6000th Anniversary of the Creation of the Earth (4004 B.C.-1996 A.D.)
is about to be celebrated by Congregations that cherish the memory of the
good and great Archbihop Ussher. This seems bound to spill over into their
Congressional Districts, with obvious ramifications for the funding of

Argh... The Venerable Bede _invented_ the Anno Domini dating system
to put an end to this 6000-year stuff.
(Extra-credit bonus: History books tell you that Charlemagne [the
guy who, among other things, installed the AD system] was crowned Holy
Roman Emperor on Christmas 801, if memory serves; what they don't tell you
is that that just so happened to be year 5999 Annus Saecili III, the system
in force prior to AD. Just covering his butt, I guess.)
