Lloyd, if God's plan and actions are contingent upon human cooperation or
obedience, are you willing also to deny that God has any certain
knowledge of the future? If God is not in complete control in the
realization of his divine plan, then all of the promises that he makes
about the future are also contingent; therefore, the culmination of
history including the security of our eternal salvation must be in doubt.
Are you willing to acknowledge this? This seems to be the logical
outworking of your belief about the contingency of God's plan.

I realize that we are ranging far afield from topic of this list; we
could continue this privately if the moderator thinks that such a
discussion is not pertinent to the list's topic. Terry?
