GM's annual vacation shutdown this year is from July 1 to July 16. During
that time I, my wife and my younger son Derek will be in Viry Chatillon,
France helping a small Protestant church there teach courses in
conversatinal English. Our associate pastor was a church planter in France
from 1983-1993, and this is one of the churches he planted. The classes
are being offered to the community for free, and of course we hope to be
able either to lead some individuals who attend to Christ or to encourage
some of them to consider attending the church we are working with. I and
my family would very much appreciate your prayers during this adventure.
(Please also pray for my older son, Brett, who will be home during this
time working to raise money for a biology field trip to the Galopagos
Islands in January. Please pray that he takes good care of himself, the
cat, the house, and the cars :-))

I will be unsubscribing after posting this. You can send email to me at
hamilton@gmr.com. (hamilton@predator.cs.gmr.com will probably bounce
during the shutdown)

I always hate to cut out of the threads I'm involved in, but perhaps it's
for the best if I give my current discussion with Stephen Jones on the
breath and the spirit of God a rest for a while.

Steve's position seems to be that certain words always mean exactly the
same thing wherever they appear. Mine is that the context must have a role
in determining what the words mean. Several of you have far better
backgrounds in theology than I do, and I would appreciate your inputs if we
take this up again next month.

Peace in Christ
