I think Walt is correct in thinking that the specific target of criticism needs to be identified. However, I think that in many posts the YECs being criticized are actually YEC arguments rather than individuals. A sweeping assertion that a given argument is wrong is more often correct that a sweeping assertion that an individual is wrong.
