Jim,
Your commentary shows that unfortunately you have a
very odd view of christianity.
What a random person on the street says about
christianity has a low probability of being what
historically the tradition has held about
christianity.
Jesus' call is for the here and now, not a based on a
promise of a life after this one -- although that is
part of the eschatological hope of a christian.
Perhaps, rather than painting your own particular (and
peculiar) version of christianity, you should maybe
start with what Jesus is reported to have said in the
New Testament.
Nothing you have written here or in any of your past
posts, in my opinion, has any relationship to either
traditional christian doctrine or what Jesus is
reported to have said and done in the New Testament.
