The first point on the big bang is correct, but Sir Fred Hoyle
and Chandra Wickramasinghe have favored an extraterrestrial
source of life on earth (panspermia). Of course, they ultimately
favor some form of abiogenesis for "life" somewhere in the
universe, but they have insisted that it did not originate
on earth.
