    Concerning background:
While I certainly do not have your religious and scientific background, I do
not see why any two people would not be able to have a discussion on any
topic so long as mutual respect and a basic understanding of content is
present. To give a little of my own background.......

    Born: 1-12-1965 Richmond, CA
    Mother: Southern Baptist; No College
Father: Orthodox Catholic(now Atheist); BSEE; Nuclear Site SRS
I was raised a Southern Baptist; attending regularly until moving to
Philippines 1980; joined Army (Comms, Signal Intel and Russian/Spanish
Linguist) 1982-1992; received BSEE 1995; work for 3 cell phone companies
until 2000; started database software company 2000; started land development
company 2001; currently running both companies and recovering from lower
back surgery; attending non-denominational bible study; worship is done in
    private

Again, as mentioned before, I seek to find better understanding from those
of you who have a greater knowledge of God and science.
Thanks for allowing me to be part of the forum.

    Don,
When talking to atheists, don't start with Gen.1. The most important
message of the Bible is that Jesus Christ came to take upon Himself the
punishment we all deserve. If they bring up Gen.1, and tryst "science"
more than they are willing to trust Christ, and if they are convinced of
their own knowledge of science, the background of their understanding of
science, that is their philosophy of life has to be talked about first. To
get that far is already a great thing, but you will never get there by
    talking about Gen.1.

    Jan
