Jim,
I know that you don't like the "read a book" suggestion but I know of at
least one that may be useful to anyone with a faith crisis. It is "A
Grief Observed" by C. S. Lewis. It can be upsetting at first but one has
to read it through to the end.
My comment about the "lonely island" is one that I meant with respect to
this list. I think that it is heavily populated elsewhere.
