Glenn already mentioned Barrow and Tipler's book. I might suggest
George Ellis "Before the Beginning: Cosmology Explained"
Boyars/Bowerdean, London, 1993. It is rather introductory,
so if you are an expert in cosmology, it will be of little
interest, but if you are interested in some general points,
it is rather thought provoking at least.

Ultimately, no matter where you stand on an issue of ultimate
reality, it will finally come down to faith. The atheist can
claim that his/her universe simply popped into existence. Well,
there is no way to say that this is wrong, but we as believer
in a transcendent God think that the order and predictability in
the universe are in some way a manifestation of God's handiwork.

by Grace alone do we proceed,
    Wayne
