For anyone who might be interested, I'll be in Chicago for a few days
starting Thur 10/14, using the archives at the U of C and giving a lecture
on my current project at the Zygon Center for Religion and Science (phone:
773-256-0670) on Friday evening at 7:30. I'll be relating the history of a
series of hitherto neglected or even unknown pamphlets on religion &
science, published between 1922-31 by an arm of the divinity school in
Chicago, paid for by more than a hundred American scientists and also by
John D. Rockefeller, Jr. They were written by luminaries such as Millikan,
Conklin, Compton, and Fosdick. A nice background to rel/sci discussions
today.

For details call the phone number above. I leave tomorrow morning and can't
respond to email inquiries about the talk.
