I too found Alexanian's forwarding of Wittes' article in the Washington
Post amusing. But will McKay et al.'s debunking of the Torah codes end
matters, with or without a reprehensible injunction? I am now waiting for
the "true believers" to use the "hypersensitivity to small changes in the
data" to recover the authentic original text from the variants. Sections
from one text interspersed with those from a second, with words here and
there from a third and a few emended letters, so that it comes out
"right," will _surely_ recover the exact words Moses was inspired to
write. This must be more authentic than juggling words to make the
numbers come out right. Now if someone will only do the analysis with the
inspired AV.
