I came back on the plane (from the ASA Annual Meeting) to St. Louis with
Jim Mahaffy who was to attend the International Botanical shindig
there. Perhaps he will give us his take on the announcement there of
evidence that provides support for the ancient age of the shroud that
conflicts with the 14C date.
The ASA Meeting was a great success with Nobel Prize winner William
Phillips an enjoyable keynote speaker.
