To the group:

Keith asks about William Lane Craig. About a year and a half ago I saw a
two-hour video of a debate between Craig and Adkins (an atheistic physical
chemist) on the Dordt campus. It was fascinating. One doesn't witness a
debate on an intellectual level between an evangelical and an atheist very
often.

Both attempted to prove their points by using logic. One Christian young
woman asked in our question period (after the end of the video) if neither
of the debaters had ever heard of post-modernism or deconstruction. My own
feeling was that the atheistic physical scientist had to be--given the
nature of his work and his atheistic position--a positivist. It seems to me
that one cannot carry out physical chemical work using deconstructionist
presuppositions. Given the approach used in Craig's previous writings, he
was just the person to answer the atheist.
