Please post this on the ASA listserv. Thanks!

The Physical Sciences Department at Biola University in La Mirada, CA has an
immediate need for a 1/2-time instructor to teach a physical sciences survey
course with two labs in the Spring, 1999 semester (starts in February).

This is a "permanent" part-time position (this course is offered every
semester), and we are wanting the position to become full-time as soon as
possible (which means teaching majors-level physics courses).

Preferred applicants should have a Master's or Ph.D. in physics or closely
related field. Applicants with an interest in apologetics and the history of
science would help us to make the position a full-time one, since funds from
a couple of programs could be pooled to cover the salary.

Please contact John Bloom at john_bloom@peter.biola.edu if interested. If
anyone in the greater Los Angeles area can help us cover our immediate
Spring need, that would be wonderful!
