This is to announce the upcoming IVCF conference "Followng Christ/Shaping
Our World" that will be held in Chicago from December 29, 1998 to January
2, 1999.

This conference centers around academic and professional tracks which allow
you to grapple with the critical issues in your field. Each track is led
by a mentor team of Christian academics and professionals. Tracks will
provide ample time for you to have deep interactions with many who are
seeking to follow Christ in their vocation.

Plenary addresses will feature internationally known Bible expositor
N.T.Wright, dean of Lichfield Catherdral, U.K. Other speakers include
philosopher Dallas Willard, InterVarsity President Steve Hayner,
missiologist Samuel Escobar, writer Mary Ellen Ashcroft, scientist Howard
Van Till, historian Elizabeth Fox-Genovese, and others.

One full afternoon of interdisciplinary discussions will enable
participants from different fields and professions to interact on a deeper
level around pressing contemporary issues. The community the conference
intends to foster will not be divided by discipliines but will embrace
christians from a variety of academic and professional fields.

Times together will also feature musical celebration and worship led by
Stephanie Martens, a late-night concert by Pierce Pettis, a variety of
musical performances and interludes, informal coffee houses, a New Year's
Eve celebration and testamonies from students and faculty who have actively
engaged their world through christian scholarship, service and witness.
