Without knowing just what you're after, it's hard to be specific. One
possible book to look for is "The Destruction of Sodom, Gomorrah, and Jericho"
(subtitled Geological, Climatological, and Archaeological Background) by
geologists David Neev and K.O. Emery (published by Oxford Univ. Press, 1995).
It has a fairly extensive reference list as well.
There have also been a number of papers on the Levant in Tectonics and Journal
of Geophysical Research over the past few years, and R. Butler et al. (1998)
have a paper on transtension in Lebanon in Special Pub. 135 of the Geological
Society of London.
