TWO MOST EXCITING BREAKTHROUGHS! [ABU1998090200000752]

I got the junk mail as well, and forwarded it to usa.net (the apparent
source). I guessed at various possible email addresses, and apparently
actually hit the correct one! See below. Unfortunately the junk we've
been getting is probably all forged thru usa.net, so there may not be a lot
of hope in stopping it. Protesting to abuse@usa.net will allow you to
complain to somebody without appearing on more unsolicited mailing lists.

Dear James_Taggart@multilink.com,
This is an automated response from abuse@usa.net .
We received your message on 9/2/98 at 10:02:14 AM.
Thank you for reporting the unsolicited/offensive e-mail that you recently
received.
Unfortuantely, the account you are reporting is forged or was found to be a
spam account.
Some internet abusers change the "Reply-to" address, or other parts of the
header, for fraudulent purposes. This causes the e-mail to appear to
originate from a different location than where it actually did originate.
If this was a spam account, it has been cancelled.
If you should receive future unsolicited e-mail from a NETSCAPE.NET
address, please forward it to abuse@usa.net.
If you have further questions, please feel free to contact us.
