Eastern College, an evangelical, Christian liberal arts college, welcomes
applications for an entry level, tenure-track position in Modern European
History/History of Science for the 1998-1999 academic year.

The Position: The individual filling this position should be in
possession
of a doctorate in History/History of Science and be cognizant of and
committed to the evangelical tradition. The successful candidate
will teach undergraduate courses in Science, Technology and
Values, and Western Heritage. Faculty at Eastern College should
manifest the following qualities: spiritual maturity; giftedness
in teaching; scholarly potential; an understanding of and
identification with Eastern's mission statement; collegiality;
ability to develop the major; academic versatility; and a strong
interest in student life. Candidates should inspire students to
following Jesus and model the integration of faith and learning.
