We have 2 positions opening at NPU in Biology for Fall Term, 1998 -

1) Full time position - Biology

POSITION:
Tenure-track position in Biology beginning in August, 1998.

RANK:
Commensurate with educational background and prior experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Ph.D in biology preferred, but ABD candidates will be
considered. Candidate must have demonstrated ability as a
teacher, evidence of scholarly work, and professional
promise. In addition, candidate must be committed
Christian whose faith is reflected in an active integration
of faith and learning. The University depends upon the
faculty and administration to create a strong Christian
witness on campus. No specific denominational affiliation
is required.

POSITION:
Teach introductory human anatomy and physiology and
one or more of the following: genetics, health,
general biology. Also, participate in curriculum
development, advise students who major in biology, and
share in the committee and administrative work of the
department and University. North Park University is
affiliated with the AuSable Institute for Environmental
Studies, The Morton Arboretum, The Shedd Aquarium, The
ACCA (Associated Colleges of the Chicago Area)
Consortium and The Argonne National Laboratory.

THE UNIVERSITY:
Founded in 1891, North Park University is a Christian
liberal arts university of 2100 students located in the
City of Chicago. The school is owned and operated
by the Evangelical Covenant Church and draws its students
from throughout the United States as well as the
Chicago metropolitan area. Thirty per cent are
international and American minority students. U.S.
News and World Report frequently rates North Park among
the best regional liberal arts schools in the Midwest.

2) Proportional Part-time position in Biology

Half-time to 2/3 Time position in Biology
Teach laboratories in the basic biology Course sequence - Human
Biology, Cell Biology, Zoology and Botany. Requires a M.S. with
experience or a Ph.D., Abd will be considered......
