I don't think their is complete symmetry between the two. If we
understand religion as in Tillich's sense "ultimate concern", it is
almost by definition more important than science. If a dogmatic atheist
like Dawkins lets his presuppositions rule out fair consideration of
Christians claims, it is because his science is functioning as a
religion.
