Dear Mr. de Koning,

This is my last posting to the list at calvin.edu. I'm responding
because I don't want to leave with a sour taste and because you alerted
me by sending a post to my personal box. Let me first apologize for
calling you Mr. Jan and an evolutionist, I meant no insult. Let me also
say that I very much agree with you in that God is in control of all
things. Also, I do respect your position. ID is, IMO, "evolving", it's
to early to say what will happen with it. Logically, I find it to be a
brutal challenge to gradualism of any kind. Theologically, I certainly
think that God is always able to surprise us. Tangible interventions by
God are unusual but they to take place; for example, the burning bush,
the given of the tablets, the manna, the column of fire by night and the
cover of clouds by day, the virgin's conception, the Son of Man, the
miracles of Jesus, the resurrection, believer's regeneration, the gifts
of the Holy Spirit, ordinary and extraordinary answers to prayers, etc.,
are all, IMO, clear interventions of God that fall within the realm of
the super- or supra- natural.

As I said, Dr. Platinga's article (Part II) will soon, I'm sure, make it
to the ARN website where you be able to read it if you wish. I'm sure
you are overloaded and have not time to read, I understand, I suffer the
same malady and that's why I don't want to stay around here too long.
Reading posts takes much time (as some others have said announcing their
departure) but writing them takes even longer. However, you won't find
your arguments (ID's) answered unless you read. Bear in mind what I
said above, the ID position may still be in diapers so it's hard to find
a summary anywhere, but it'll come, I'm sure.
