Ted,

I just read in December 8 *USA TODAY*, that a student at Messiah College won a
Rhodes Scholarship. The first one there, ever. Congratulations to her, you,
and the rest of the faculty, Ted. I hope you all will have a great
celebration if you have not already had one.

The article read as follows: "Messiah College in Grantham, Pa., has its first
Rhodes Scholar with Joy Yu-Ho Wang, a native of Philadelphia. Wang, an
English literature major and a member of the varsity tennis team, founded a
chapter of Amnesty International."

"Criteria for the scholarships include academic achievement, integrity,
leadership and athletic prowess."

Thirty-two scholarships were awarded to American students.
