This series is a BBC production which was shown over the past couple of
months here in the UK. I think it's reasonably certain that
although Hawking does feature prominently, and the cosmology of the
programme is like a visual Brief History, the actual writing was
independent (the associated book, for instance, isn't written by him). The
series has very much his point of view though; his "mind of God" view of
cosmology etc. Enjoyable for the first half hour, I thought, but
infuriating afterwards. Unilateral point of view that I so dislike with
some recent popularisations of science. Some really lousy graphics from
a guy called Cabbage, or something, that don't help understanding too.
Watch it by all means, butyou've not really missed out if you miss it.
