ASA calling cards

Dear ASAers,

A discussion about Cards for members to distribute to attract new members to
the ASA has begun on the Listserv. This is a fine idea and not a new one.
About two years ago we distributed cards to ASA representatives in various
colleges and universities -- using the person's own name as an ASA
representative on the card. We never heard more about it nor did we ever
have a request for additional cards. So people either did not run out or
did not want any more. It is not too hard for us to do that since we do it
by computer -- it is just a matter of time. Obviously with meeting
preparations, we will not have time to work on this until we return around
August 7, 8, or beyond.

If there are people that would like to have such cards, give us your name
and approximately how many you can adequately use and where to send them.
Mike Arnold's idea of putting the graphic on the web and letting you
download it for cards is a great idea but right now we are not sure how we
can do that -- perhaps through Terry Gray. Keep the ideas coming and we
deeply appreciate your interest in furthering the ASA.

In His grace,
Don (Munro)
