FWIW, I looked at it using my public library terminal (which has ultra-fast
connections). I was very not-impressed.
1. The huge amount of "fancy" in the form of great gobs of graphics makes
it unusable for anyone with even a 14,400 speed modem. Maybe a 33,00 speed
would do -- but staring at a sceeen while somebody's art work unfolds is
kind of like watching grass grow!
2. When it did finally come down, it was largely not-readable. I tried to
take the survey -- but many of the questions were so obscured by the
background clutter as to not be readable.
Used NETSCAPE, by the way. Maybe it's better with some other browser.
3. The architecture of the site seems to be bolixed. At one time I was
"warned" I was "leaving Leadership University," and that what I might find
thereafter was "not approved stuff." I was unaware, of course, I had been
"in" anything called "Leadership University." Wandered back there & looked
around -- seems to be a propaganda mill for "approved outlooks of various
matters," most of which I would go along with; at least one of which I
would not. The problem seemed to be, though, that only "one view" was
available on the subjects I looked at -- if there were any contrary views
available, they were either set up as straw men or ignored.
I printed off the page (on a laser printer) with the e-mail address but it
was not-readable. Not the fault of the system I was using, BTW, as I had no
such problems looking at and printing from several other web sites during
my session yesterday.
