Subject: Site and date of Wheaton geology trip
Folks,
First an apology for YEK instead of YEC. In any case I collected some
nice Mazon Creek nodules when I was at the heaton meetings. If one of
the geology types that was there is listening can you tell me the topo
location (township and range) - perhaps which pit it was and the date.
I took all that information down but it got separated from the fossils
that I am now trying to properly store in our collection.

Indeed; attending ASA meetings over the years has been a great way to get an
education in geology. The stone walls of Houghton College in New York contain
lots of interesting fossils. And the quartzite pebbles used in landscaping at
Calvin College are easy to chip into arrowheads and spear points.
